The #AFROZENSUS is the first comprehensive study to explore the realities of life, experiences of discrimination and perspectives of Black, African and Afrodiasporic people in Germany. Around 6,000 people took part in the online survey between July and September 2020. This was supplemented by qualitative interviews and focus groups with Black, African and Afrodiasporic experts from the health and education sectors. With the Afrozensus, one of the youngest population groups in Germany finally receives the visibility it needs to better represent its interests.

What happens next?
It is unclear. Like everywhere else, there is a lack of resources. Even if we can’t yet tell you exactly when the next Afrozensus survey will take place, you can still register for it now.

We need your e-mail address so that we can send you an invitation to the survey as soon as the time comes and ensure that as many Black, African and Afrodiasporic people as possible have the opportunity to take part in the next round. If you have already registered for the last Afrozensus, you do not need to register again.
